DATON-Columbia County Republicans will host Washington State Treasurer Duane Davidson at its Lincoln Day Dinner and Fundraiser, set for Saturday, April 6, at the Columbia County Fairgrounds.
The event starts at 5”30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Pavilion, with a catered dinner and program, including a talk by Davidson. The Republican Central Committee will also conduct a fund-raising auction and drawing. Marty Hall will be the Master of Ceremonies.
Davidson, a Republican and Washington State’s twenty-third State Treasurer, was elected in 2016. Prior to that, Davidson was elected to four terms as Benton County Treasurer, serving from 2003-2014.
Davidson was born and raised in Carnation, Wash., where he graduated from Tolt High School.
He started his undergraduate education at Bellevue Community College and transferred to Central Washington University in Ellensburg where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is an actively licensed certified public accountant (CPA).
He and his wife Kathy (deceased 2016), raised two daughters and a son together – daughters Baily and Grace, and son Luke – in the Tri-Cities.
While a County Treasurer, Davidson served three terms as President of the Washington State Association of County Treasurers (WSACT) and earlier served as the organization’s treasurer.
He is a long-time Kiwanian and is the past-president for two separate Kiwanis Clubs in the Tri-Cities. Davidson served as treasurer for the Kiwanians Club of Tri Cities Industry Foundation.
