The exceptionally good-looking people in this staff photo are among the unsung heroes who serve Washington state taxpayers and the local governments and state agencies whom they support. They are the workforce of the Washington State Treasurer’s Office.
These financial experts make sure taxpayer funds are properly collected, transferred, disbursed, and invested.
They also oversee the state’s debt portfolio, and much more.
The Treasurer chairs the State Finance Committee, on which the Governor and Lieutenant Governor also sit, and the Public Deposit Protection Commission. He also serves on another five state boards which help guide economic forecasting, low-income housing finance, economic development, college savings, and public sector retirement plan investments.
Note: Due to the impacts of COVID-19 our most recent staff photo was taken in 2019. Current State Treasurer Mike Pellicciotti not pictured.
