As a small state agency, the Treasurer’s Office normally operates with a staffing level of about 65 employees. We’re proud that when people join our staff, they typically end up working a long and fulfilling career with the office. Although our staff turnover and job openings can be minimal at times, we do have the need to recruit and fill positions. We look for and anticipate that new employees will enrich our current workforce through their knowledge, skills, competencies, diversity and work experience.
As new employees find a career with the OST, we experience that they find the small agency atmosphere and culture rewarding and pleasant. This leads them to stay a while! Over the years we have had several employees end with a total of 40-plus years of state service, with most of their tenure worked at the Treasurer’s Office. We also strive to provide career development and growth, and look for opportunities to provide promotions to our current internal staff where skills and competencies are a match.
